Neurodiversity CPD and training for professionals
Around one in seven adults is thought to be neurodivergent, and most have never been formally identified. With assessment waits now running into years, that isn't changing soon. So neurodivergent people are already in every caseload, every waiting room, and every team, usually without a word for it.
This is training for the people on the other side of that: what changes when you meet someone on the assumption they might be wired differently, and get curious about how that works for them. That is Be Kind. Be Curious.
Two doors, depending on what you do.
For the client mid-assessment, newly identified in adulthood, or carrying the odd grief a late diagnosis can bring. Also for the gifted and twice-exceptional, who tend to get read as difficult long before anyone gets curious. Affirming-practice CPD built to NCPS and BACP requirements, with a free introductory session that stands on its own.
For patient-facing work: the dental chair, the clinic, the care visit. The places where a neurodivergent adult is most likely to mask, cancel, or leave without what they came for. Small, human changes that make the appointment work, shaped to your setting and, for dental teams, to GDC CPD.
For the workplace itself: awareness for whole teams, capability for managers, and learning to receive a disclosure well when someone offers one. Built on the principle that adjustments come from conversation and consent, not an audit.
All of it grounded in lived and professional experience, delivered in English or French, online or in person. I am an NCPS accredited registrant. The practitioner CPD is built to meet NCPS, BACP and GDC requirements; the organisational training is built for culture change.
